They're in different industries and have different approaches when it comes to creating content, but are both amazing at what they do! These two women-led companies utilize PLANOLY and maintain a solid social media strategy by having a plan and staying savvy in the digital world. Read on to find out how they evolve and grow - while keeping their audience intrigued, educated and engaged.

Hi! My name is Ashley, and I live in Winnipeg with my husband Trevor, our son Leo, and our cat Tucker. I'm a graphic designer by trade, and I got into the social media industry when my sister opened Jenna Rae Cakes. We now co-own and run the business together! She focuses on cakes, and I focus on social media, design and daily operations.
Tell us more about your endeavors. What do you hope they contribute to the current content landscape?
As a company, we're almost three and a half years old. This year's goal is to launch nationwide shipping of our macarons to our Canadian fans across the country. We constantly strive to stay true to our brand and the image we've built from the start. Our industry is now heavily saturated with a lot of talented people, and it's hard not to get distracted. We try and keep our heads down, work hard, and create inspiring (and delicious) work.
Regarding social media, what does having a "plan" mean to you and your work?
Social media planning for business can be intimidating. It's always changing, evolving, and growing. What worked for your company a few months ago may not work today, and that's stressful. Having a plan is so important to make sure you don't get lost in the hustle!
How has PLANOLY helped to enhance your overall strategy and what is the most unexpected discovery you've made as a result of using the app?
PLANOLY helps us stay organized, and that's huge. Running a company is all-consuming, and a lot of what we do feels like organized chaos. I love being able to open the app and see a happy grid of posts all set and ready to go. It's one thing less to worry about!
Please introduce yourself personally and professionally! Hi! We're Lorena and Sakura, and we're the Co-Founders of Bloguettes. At Bloguettes, we provide creative entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources they need to build their online presence. We do this through our events, webinars, and consulting services. On the side, we have our own personal blogs: Call Me Lore and Something Sakura! Tell us more about your endeavors. What do you hope they contribute to the current content landscape? We started Bloguettes three years ago with the goal of providing training and tools for entrepreneurs and bloggers in the digital space. We've hosted countless educational workshops and webinars, and have recently started offering online classes as well. One section of our company, Stock That Rocks, has exponentially grown in the last year. We saw a need in the market for trendy, minimal stock photography that creatives could easily use on their websites and even in their Instagram posts. We hope that our membership offerings on Stock That Rocks change the game for how bloggers, agencies, and entrepreneurs plan their content and view stock photography as a whole. There is so much content out there that every one of your photos needs to be on-brand and high-quality!
Regarding social media, what does having a "plan" mean to you and your work? When it comes to social media, having a plan is everything! This is what helps you to be strategic and meet your overall business goals. If you don't have a strategy in place and aren't consistently measuring your success, you won't be able to determine what's working for your business and what's not. This can lead to a lot of frustration over time, and might even cause you to give up before you get started! Here at Bloguettes, we are very particular in the way we plan out our social media posts for the week. We share this plan with the rest of the team so that everyone is on the same page, which allows us to work together to accomplish our goals! Having an organized plan also allows us to evaluate our performance and whether or not social media is helping us to achieve our overall objective. How has PLANOLY helped to enhance your overall strategy and what is the most unexpected discovery you've made as a result of using the app? The main difference and benefit we have found using PLANOLY is that the platform allows us to ensure that our content is always visually on-brand. Since we have so many different hands working on planning our Instagram at one time, this could get lost in the jumble of it all. If someone plans the content, another writes the caption, and another plans the content visually, it gets pretty complicated! We frequently use the Placeholder tool within the grid feature to consistently plan and improve our grid.
