Hi guys! Adriana here. In our last blog post, we talked about How To Create Your Holiday Content Strategy. We touched on 7 Steps to create and execute your strategy, carved out ideas and ways to brainstorm content, as well as how to integrate different topics within your blog posts. Today, we'll be talking about How To Balance Organic & Sponsored Blog/Instagram Posts During the Holidays. One thing that I always try to keep in mind when creating content for my blog and Instagram is that it remains balanced which means it equally includes sponsored content, as well as organic content. I don't ever want my site or Instagram to feel too "sponsored" or "pitchy". There's an art to creating content, and a fine line that you typically have to walk on. (But, don't worry... even if the majority of your content is sponsored, it doesn't mean that it has to appear that way!)
5 Ways To Balance Organic & Sponsored Blog/Instagram Posts During the Holidays
- Give Your Audience New Content
The holidays are the perfect time to step outside of the box, and start sharing new & fresh content! It's a great time to experiment with different topics and posts, as well as a great way to let your readers get to know you a little more through your writing.
- Share Local Happenings
So many fun events, gatherings, and celebrations take place during the holiday season. It's the best time to make the most of everything exciting that's happening throughout this time of the year. Mix up your content by letting your readers know about local gatherings within your area. Each blogger can create a unique and exciting culture for their audience depending on the city that they live in! There's always something happening everywhere.
- Talk More About The Holidays
The holidays only happen once a year, which means you need to make the most of it! I like to squeeze as much of out of this special time as possible by sharing extra content with my audience. It's the most wonderful time of the year after all for a reason!
- Take Them Through a Journey
We touched on this in a previous blog post, but I always try to approach holiday content as a running story. Almost as if your followers can have a passenger seat to your life over the next few months! Share real-time events with them through stories + incorporate things you're doing on the blog and Instagram.
- Mix-In Sponsored Content Organically
I love to try and mix in sponsored content organically throughout my site and Instagram; sprinkling it into everything else that I'm sharing. Your content should always feel organic & authentic.
